Dr. Cathy Wedeen is the Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s Development 1 Study Section. She received her Ph.D. in genetics at S.U.N.Y., Stony Brook and Columbia University examining the regulation of homeotic gene expression in Drosophila. As a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California at Berkeley and faculty member at New York Medical College and Mills College, she conducted research into the roles of developmental regulatory genes in segmentation and nervous system development of the leech and ran a research program focusing on telomere biology in the yeast, S. cerevisiae. She came to CSR through the Review Internship Program.
