Dr. Estina Thompson is the Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s Adult Psychopathology and Disorders of Aging (APDA) Study Section in the Biobehavioral and Behavioral Processes Integrated Review Group. She earned an MPH and Ph.D. in health behavior and health education from the University of Michigan School of Public Health (UM-SPH); she also received postdoctoral training in gerontology at UM-SPH. Before joining CSR, she was associate professor in the Department of Public and Community Health at the University of Maryland College Park, where her research focused on the social causes and consequences of mental illness in adults, the quality of mental health care for underserved populations, and computer-based interventions for improving public health.
