Dr. Geoffrey Schofield serves as the Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s Biophysics of Neural Systems Study Section. After receiving his Ph.D. in physiology, he did postdoctoral work at the University of Maryland and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. Prior to joining CSR, he was an associate professor in the physiology department at Tulane University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. His research focused on ion channel function, using patch-clamp recording in both native tissues and heterologous systems.
