Dr. George McKie serves as the Scientific Review Officer of the Visual Systems Small Business study section. This panel reviews small business and technology-based applications that focus on eye. Dr. McKie is a doctor of veterinary medicine who earned her degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and is board certified in veterinary ophthalmology. She obtained her Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where her research focused on corneal wound healing and interactions of corneal cells with biomaterial surfaces.
