Dr. John Bishop is the Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s Sensorimotor Integration Study Section in the Division of Physiology and Pathology. In addition, he serves as a Referral Officer in the Division of Receipt and Referral, where he is responsible for assigning applications to the Brain Disorders and Clinical Neuroscience Integrated Review Group. He came to the NIH in 1981 to work in the NINDS Experimental Therapeutics Branch (ETB). He held positions there ranging from laboratory technician to Acting Chief of the Unit on Neuroendocrinology. His most recent laboratory work was in the ETB Genetic Pharmacology Unit, where he focused on the molecular pathobiology of Parkinson's disease. Dr. Bishop holds a Ph.D. in physiology from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
