Since joining the Infectious Diseases and Microbiology group at CSR in July 2004, Dr. Pugh has served as the Scientific Review Officer of vector biology, virology, and fellowship study sections; he currently manages review of small business grant applications. Dr. Pugh received a Ph.D. in microbial genetics from the University of Liverpool, and subsequently pursued research on hepatitis B viruses in Philadelphia. Prior to arriving at CSR, Dr. Pugh was a program manager at the American Institute of Biological Sciences, organizing the review of research applications submitted to the U.S. Army Medical Research and Material Command.
