Dr. Maribeth Champoux is the Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s Biobehavioral Mechanisms of Emotion, Stress and Health (MESH) Study Section. She obtained her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received postdoctoral training at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Stanford University School of Medicine. She then joined the Intramural Research Program at the Laboratory of Comparative Ethology, NICHD, where she maintains a research affiliation. Her research focuses on effects of genes and environment on temperament, behavioral development, endocrine, immune, and neurotransmitter outcomes, and parenting in squirrel monkeys and rhesus monkeys.
