Dr. Vonda Smith is the Scientific Review Officer of the Enabling Bioanalytical and Biophysical Technologies Study Section. She received her Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Emory University, where she studied the molecular structure and complexation of cyclodextrins using various spectral analysis tools. Dr. Smith then accepted a research position with Hewlett Packard in Palo Alto, California, where she performed spectral, chromatographic, and electrophoretic analyses of biomolecules. She continued this research when her division was split from Hewlett Packard to become part of Agilent Technologies. She brings many years of industrial analytical chemistry research experience to her position at CSR.
